Key to the County of Miami-Dade, Florida

 Miami-Dade County is on the southeast of Florida, with the population of about 2,700,000, and Miami is the largest city in the county.

In 2005, President Chen Shui-bian visited Central America under the “Hsiang-Feng Project,” and made a transit in Miami on the way there. On September 21, when attending lunch banquet held for senators and members of Congress in South Florida, President Chen received the key to the County of Miami-Dade from Mayor Carlos Alvarez. The letter from Carlos Alvarez, the mayor of Miami-Dade County, Florida, to welcome President Chen for his visit. Distinguished Visitor Certificate received from Miami-Dade County. Proclamation from Miami-Dade County to set 22 September 2005 as “The Hon. Chen Shui-bian Day.”

 San Francisco is the only consolidated city-county in California, with the population of around 870,000.
